UI Design | UX Research | Logo Design
WavePoint is a comprehensive surf app designed to enhance your surfing experience. It features an interactive map for discovering local surf spots, tide charts for optimal planning, and the ability to save and share your favorite locations. Users can also contribute reviews, fostering a vibrant community of surfers. With its user-friendly interface and a suite of additional features, WavePoint is your ultimate companion for all things surfing.

Charting The Swell - Discovery & User Research
To build a surf app that truly resonated with the community, I started by immersing myself in the world of surfers, from casual weekend wave-chasers to seasoned locals. Through interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis, I uncovered the core needs: reliable surf data, local knowledge, and a sense of connection. This research formed the backbone of WavePoint’s design, grounding every feature in real user intent.

Riding the Line - Designing for Flow
With a clear understanding of our users, I translated insights into wireframes and interactive prototypes. The focus was on crafting an intuitive flow, minimizing friction between checking conditions, discovering spots, and contributing to the community. I iterated frequently, testing everything from map interactions to review submissions, ensuring the interface stayed as fluid as the sport itself.

Surf at a Glance - Real-time insights, right on the map
WavePoint’s interactive map delivers the essentials without the clutter. Tap on any surf spot to instantly view current wave height, a short summary of the break, and quick reviews from the surf community. Designed for speed and clarity, this feature helps you make informed decisions in seconds, whether you're heading out now or planning your next session.

Tide-Synced Planning - Stay perfectly in tune with the ocean’s rhythm
The tide chart keeps you synced with the sea by providing up-to-date tidal movements throughout the day. With a clean, intuitive display, surfers can quickly see when conditions will peak, whether you're timing your session for a rising tide or avoiding a midday lull. It’s your go-to tool for riding at the right moment, every time.
